It’s very common to look back what happened after an event. This post is about looking back at the past year through various criteria,
- Personal life
- Career
- Hobby
- Finance
Personal Life
Work-life balance oculd have been better, its not like the employer is squeezing me. But its my ability to give priority to the family. If at all one thing I need to work on this year, that would be more time spent with family and cultivating memories.
Career
The Career is going good. This year has 2 different travel visit - Domestic and and International travel, a fumbled opportunity.
Domestic Travel
As a part of sprint super planning I joined my team with Product Owners and had a good time spent there. The all the voices I was hearing and thumbnails in the teams conversation has got a real human touch during the visit.
Internation travel
I visited Norway as a short term assignment. The experience deserves a post(s), thats in progress. The accommodation, the cultural difference, change in weather between my base location and the country I visited taught me several things.
Fumbled Opportunity
Early this year, I cleared few rounds of interview with a SaaS company. It would have been a good opportunity. However, it was fumbled due to some unexpected reasons.
Apart from these, the career is growing in the expected trajectory. No complaints.
Hobby
The data visualization is being cultivated as a new hobby. The ability to deliver story from the data is indeed a good skill to have.
Photography, the one with manual mode is attracting me in the last month of the year. May be I need to work on this part as well.
Finance
One of the outstanding loan has been closed. The investments are going on auto-mode. No major decisions made. Things are more or less quiet.
